Overview:
This course is a BTEC award designed to train and certificate persons in paediatric emergency first aid and medical emergencies. This course meets the criteria for first aid training stipulated by Surestart. It is suitable for those working in early years settings or with children and young people in a health and social care setting.

Recognising and responding to the unwell child, minor illness, major illness, care of the unconscious child, managing an emergency situation.
