a professional
decision
Industrial accidents can have serious consequences,
and lives may depend on the immediate
actions taken.
Your choice of safety response is an important
decision, and getting it wrong is not
an option. From
confined space rescue to at heights rescue provision,
you have to make a
professional decision: "Who do I
choose to provide my Safety Response Team?"
Strict legislation now requires each confined space to
be assessed prior to entry, to determine
whether an
emergency response team is required, and the Work
at Heights Regulations 2005 state:
“It is not
acceptable just to rely on the emergency services. The
(on-site safety) methods selected
needs to be
proportionate to the risk and there should not be
reliance on the statutory emergency
services.”
The Safety Response Team you choose must reflect
the integrity of your own organisation.
The team must
be professional, provide rapid, safe, effective rescue
response, be flexible to meet
your operational
requirements, and must be also be cost effective.
making the right
choice
The emergency action has to be right first time -
every time. You choose professionals - those who
have
current qualifications, relevant experience, and the
proven ability to respond and manage an
emergency
incident.
You choose a provider who invests in state of the art
rescue, safety and medical equipment, who ensures
its teams undergo regular update training on latest
techniques, and holds above industry-
standard
indemnity insurance.
